Module & system selection

RF Power Amplifier Modules

Discuss driver and final-stage solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) modules for RF signal chains, instrument excitation and EMC test setups. GaN options, operating bands, output ratings and integration features are confirmed for the selected model, not inferred from the family name.

Driver-stage amplifier modules

Match a signal source or preceding stage to the drive level required by a downstream amplifier. Consider gain distribution, input limits, linearity and stability across the required band.

Confirm: input / output levels, gain and flatness, P1dB, interstage matching and bias.

Final-stage SSPA / GaN options

Evaluate final-stage power amplification against the required usable output and thermal budget. GaN is a technology option, not a guarantee of bandwidth, efficiency or ruggedness.

Confirm: linear output versus P1dB / Psat, harmonics, efficiency conditions, cooling and load mismatch.

CW and pulsed operating requirements

Specify whether the signal is continuous-wave (CW), modulated or pulsed. Peak pulse power is not a continuous output rating; permitted operation depends on pulse timing, duty cycle and cooling.

Confirm: average and peak power, pulse width, repetition rate, duty cycle and timing.

Control, monitoring and protection

Discuss enable / blanking, status monitoring, interlocks and thermal or reflected-power protection where supported. Define DC supply, startup sequence and mechanical interfaces before integration.

Confirm: supported signals / protocol, protection thresholds, recovery behavior, connectors and mounting.

What to include in your inquiry

  • Band edges and bandwidth; signal waveform and required linear output, P1dB or Psat definition.
  • CW / average / peak power, pulse timing, gain, harmonics and load-VSWR conditions.
  • DC supply, cooling, mounting envelope, RF connectors, control and acceptance conditions.

Selection and integration support is discussed against your requirement. No universal power / frequency range, inventory, certification or complete-system delivery is promised here. Current specs, configuration, availability and lead time require written confirmation.

Specs and selection guidance only; no file downloads or uploads. Request current specs and documentation by email.

Frequently asked

Which RF and microwave component types do you supply?

The catalog covers low-noise, small-signal and GaN solid-state power amplifiers; filters, diplexers and multiplexers; switches, couplers, dividers and terminations; crystal and PLL frequency sources, VCOs and reference oscillators; mixers and multipliers; and integrated microwave modules including photonics-enabled links.

What frequency coverage do your RF components support?

DC to 40 GHz describes the combined range of selected RF component families, not a power amplifier operating down to DC or a single model covering that span. Amplifier bands, output and operating modes are model-specific. Filters in LC, cavity, suspended-substrate and LTCC forms also have independent usable ranges; confirm current specs by written inquiry.

What should I specify for an RF power amplifier module?

Provide band edges, waveform, gain, required linear output or P1dB / Psat, CW or peak / average pulse power, pulse width and duty cycle. Also specify supply, cooling, load mismatch, connectors, control and acceptance conditions. Peak pulse power or saturation power is not a continuous linear-output guarantee; GaN options and protection features require model-level confirmation.

Are part numbers and pricing published?

No. This catalog is presented at capability and range level only. Models, specifications and pricing are provided against written inquiry, which also lets us check availability for your destination.
